    Thanks for your recipe. I pretty much do the same thing except i
    use a lot less sugar and i always include lemon juice. Also, i
    use a crockpot and i freeze rather than can the preserves.

    I can because I don't have to "spend the energy" to keep them after
    making them. It costs $$ to run the freezer, a jar sitting on the shelf
    costs nothing to keep.


    Where do you get your figs?

    From the fig tree Steve planted in our side yard some years ago. It took several years to produce any, then just got a handful or so for a couple
    of years but is now the size to put out a good amount every year.
