Here's a hint, "semaphores". You would have to figure out what
semaphores Synchronet uses/understands, and make Golded produce it.
What exactly do you think these message areas for? Have you read the Fidonet descriptions?
GOLDED GoldEd/GoldEd+ Chat/Support
SYNCHRONET Synchronet Discussion
MYSTIC Mystic BBS Software Support
I know exactly what these message areas are for.
Right now, you're in the GOLDED support echo asking questions about SYNCHRONET. Is that proper use of these support channels?
If you want to start being an asshole to people that do offer assistance by pointing you in the right direction, you'll soon realize that people will just stop helping/responding to you, altogether.
If you didn't notice, it's called SUPPORT. You assume that I have
searched before asking the question. If your hoing to make passive aggresive statements don't.
Have you actually searched for semaphores in both Synchronet and Golded's documentation? Because it doesn't seem like you have. I gave you exactly what to look for, but I'm not going to draw you pictures with detailed, color coded instructions and sticky notes. Sometimes you have to put in a bit of work yourself, which also helps you understand what you're actually doing so you don't have to continue to ask the same questions over and over.
With that said, you really don't have to do anything. Just because
it's not instant, the next very next time the FIDOOUT and BINKIT
events run, that message will be processed and sent out along with any
others that were created in between those events.

This was sorta helpful.
Sorta? Would you rather have it in a spreadsheet? Or maybe a pie chart with some statistical graphs included? Above, I'm telling you to leave it well enough alone and it will take care of itself, without intervention. If you absolutely /have/ to have messages go out instanty, then take a look at Synchronet's semaphores that trigger the events you need to force run (which I'm fairly certain I gave you in the above paragraph - FIDOOUT and BINKIT) when you want to run them.
Heck, you can even set a command to F-keys in Golded (using goldkeys.cfg in combination with golded.cfg) to run the commands that trigger those Synchronet events. You just have to read the documentation and figure out how to do it.
It seems I gave you every bit of the building blocks you needed in my original reply, but since I didn't feed you all of the information (sometimes so detailed enough to where you can just copy and paste) that you needed, on a silver spoon, you seem to get bent out of shape that you're not getting the "support" you need.

People (including myself) have specifically given you the exact way to fix this issue (double origin lines) multiple times, yet you keep doing it even after you fix it. There's only so much support people can give before they realize it goes over your head every time.

Nick
