      Title: German Red Cabbage
 Categories: Five, Vegetables, Fruits
      Yield: 10 servings
 
      1 md Onion; halved, sliced
      1 md Apple; sliced
      1 md Head red cabbage; shredded
    1/3 c  Sugar
    1/3 c  White vinegar
    3/4 ts Salt; opt
    1/4 ts Pepper
 
  In a large Dutch oven coated with cooking spray, cook
  and stir onion and apple over medium heat until onion is
  tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients;
  cook, covered, until cabbage is tender, about 1 hour,
  stirring occasionally. Serve warm or cold.
