Yesterday, Trump pledged $8 billion in aid to farmers to compensate for higher diesel prices. Naturally, this is not socialism, at least, not according to the "free market" principles they hold so dear. When things go wrong, the government is supposed to step in and help. Needless to say, Trump hopes that this will encourage the farmers to vote conservative once again.
