From Jason@1:103/705 to all on Wed Oct 14 17:41:58 2026
    Hello all,
I used to run a SBBS system back in 2004 to about 2007 and I spent a ton of time making menus, custom java scripts, and just all around went all in with SBBS. I fell in love with how customizable and stable it BBS is. My BBS was on windows xp. I have my new board setup on Linux as I left windows and refuse to go back (whole different topic) It took a bit or learning to get it to run, and now I am starting to have more time on my hands to get things going. After this long book, my question is. How backwards compatible are the .js script files with the latest linux SBBS version? Would it be possible top drop my custom files in place and hope to rebuilt the board?
    Thanks

They're most likely 100% compatible, depending on how you wrote them (e.g. if you used backslashes for path separators or relied on case-insensitive path/filename matching, you'd need to fix that as Linux vs. Windows issue, not a Synchronet version issue).
