When a log, a config file or a display file is too long to quote in a
message, you can now paste it at:
https://paste.synchro.net/
and post the link here, in #synchronet, or in a GitLab issue instead.
- Paste text, or choose a file: logs, .ini files, any text, or
.ans/.asc/.msg display files. A screenshot can go along with it.
- Type the word "sbbs" in the Word box. It's not a password, just a
spam-bot filter.
- Before posting, the page looks for passwords (Synchronet log lines,
QWKnet hub and FidoNet passwords, and the like), email addresses and
IP addresses, and offers to replace them with [REDACTED]. Still read
over what you paste.
- A paste is public to anyone with the link, but isn't listed anywhere
or indexed by search engines.
- Pastes delete themselves: text up to 1 MB after 30 days, up to 5 MB
after 7 days, up to 10 MB after 2 days. Paste the part of a log around
the problem rather than the whole thing.
- .ini files get syntax highlighting, and display files are shown with
their colors and the PC character set.
