CHINA LAUNCHES A NEW SATELLITE MEGACONSTELLATION: Yesterday, sky watchers across the US Midwest saw a strange comet-like object moving across the night sky. They didn't realize at the time that they were witnessing the birth of a new satellite megaconstellation. China's Thousand Sails project, a direct competitor to Starlink, lifted off on Aug. 6th.
