I've not played in years. Remember playing as a child at
camps, etc.
But noticed a upcoming moving is about a ping pong player
A hustler-turned-champion ping pong player Marty Reisman's journey from playing
for bets in Manhattan to winning 22 major titles and becoming the oldest to win
a national racket sport competition at 67.
The movie Marty Supreme stars Timothee Chalamet of Wonka movie fam.
So may have to check it out.
Just out of curiousity , I also looked on IMDB (trying to find above info, and there are like a number of other movies about Ping Pong).

That brings back memories, although I haven't played in years now.
My father built a table himself in our basement when we were young and
one time I ran into a person who'd been my best friend before we moved
about 7 years earlier. I ran into him somewhere and invited him over
when we were about 15 and when he saw thr table, he wanted to play..
We played a lot so I said sure, and it was tough but I managed to win
2 out of 3 games with him by a point or two. He later admitted he was
amazed because he had won some city wide championship (in a city of
about 160,000 people) and figured he would wipe the floor with me.
That was fun, but not as much fun as later when I figured out you
could talk Some ladies into playing strip ping pong.. You have to
make sure you only win by a point or two to keep them 'trying'.. B)

I was (and still am not) good at ping pong, but I like it a lot. I have 2 fond memories of table tennis:
1. When my wife and I first got married, we inherited a PP table and
used it like a dining room table for a while, until we could afford a
proper one. Many impromptu games ensued -- while eating.
2. Had a job where we did Friday PP tounreys w/happy hour. Losers had to crawl under the table, where it was dirty, spider-y and generally disgusting. I spent a lot of time under that table, lol.
