    Hi,
I was just wondering if any VB Programmers have updated to the new VS and if so any thoughts/comments?

    LOL.
I still have vb 1.0 (from the original disks that I bought, not the freely available download) and if it worked under Win 10/11, I'd definitely still use it.. but it's only usable in DosBox I'm afraid...

Recently I heard of NTVDMx64, which is a 16-bit DOS VM for 64-bit editions of Windows. I'm curious to check this out:

I had a look at it last night. That page links to a GitHub page which has the code, but also links to a compiled version with an installer (as a batch file). I tried the compiled version - It asked if I wanted to enable 16-bit Windows apps too and I said yes; then it said it failed to put something in the registry. It prompted to reboot, which I did, but I was still unable to run 16-bit applications. I'm also using Windows 11 at home, so perhaps this doesn't work on Windows 11? I'm curious to look at the project on GitHub more and see if there's anything I can do to get it to work. But maybe it's more work than I thought to get it working..

I also took a look at the compiled version. (http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/ntvdmx64-ccpu-fre.7z). The github is only patches which are apparently rolled into the compiled version.
If I get it running I'll let you know

It was suggested that NTVDMx64 doesn't support Windows 11. So maybe that was my issue. I'm using Windows 11 on my main PC which was the PC I tried it on last night.
