    I've read a little on it and it looks pretty interesting. Almost like a nicer version of C# to tell the truth. Not sure about how big it's standard library is yet which is the main reason i haven't attempted to do much in it yet.

    I thought D was closer to C++ than C#. I'll have to read some more about it. The main reason I haven't really done anything with D is that it doesn't seem to be used much in the industry or supported by many compilers. I'm not sure if it can use libraroes made for C or C++.

    Well it is compiled. No interpreter. machine code. So yeah. That
    observation of it being more like C/C++ is true and generally you can do
    a lot of what you can do in C in D I guess. It has pointers :)

    At least when i looked at it, i seemd like c++ STL with alot of the newer
    std c++11 stuff but active more like a java or c# when it came to classes and objects.

    Yeah it uses reference types.

    I am a fan of both reference types and value types.
