Hi all - I'm just curious if anyone has worked on any cool Objective-C projects lately?

Obj-C isn't cool anymore... is it? Seems Apple is pushing everyone to Swift.

It seems that way. But is Objective-C only used for Apple devices?

I'm guessing based on your phrasing that ObjC is used for other things. But with the largest corporate benefactor no longer driving it's use, it won't have a lot of devs hopping on board.

I just googled "objective-c" and every link is related to Apple development.

If you were starting fresh, would you pick ObjC for a project?

I probably wouldn't choose Objective-C, based on the same reason you said, that most software development hasn't used Objective-C. However, Objective-C is 100% compatible with regular C, so theoretically you could make use of software libraries with C interfaces with Objective-C - and there are quite a bit of software libraries with C interfaces. You can also do things like write Python & Perl modules in C, so I'd think you could do the same with Objective-C. Objective-C just doesn't seem to be a popular choice.
