    From Fernando Toledo@4:902/26 to All on Tue Feb 6 23:14:36 2024
    hi all!

    Someone mentioned Stickman a while ago. What a good game!
    Does anyone have information about its author? I would like to obtain the source code to be able to change the set of keys (instead of the numeric keyboard)

    Patch for StickMan ver 1.11
    ----------------------------
    2024-02-13 akacastor

    PATKEYS.BAT
    ===========

    This patch changes key mapping from the numpad to UIOJKL and shooting to ZX.

    I = up
    J = left
    L = right
    K = down
    U = jump left
    O = jump right

    Z = shoot left
    X = shoot right

    NOTE THAT THE NUMPAD CONTROLS WILL NO LONGER WORK
    NOR WILL THE , AND . (<>) KEYS WORK FOR SHOOTING.
    This patch changes the key mapping.

    Additionally, this patch changes the hotkey for Instructions on the main
    menu
    from 'I' to '?'. (due to conflict with the remapped 'up' key)

    K = down
    U = jump left
    O = jump right

    I still don't understand why anyone would want this unless they were using some keyboard without number keys?!?! It just so much easier to move the number keys to control movement. Then the other hand to shoot.

    ... The absence of alternatives clears the mind marvelously.

    StickMan, with the patch applied for the keys to be remapped to UIOJKL is also available to play in the Door Games menu of the BBS. (the full registered version - thank you, Glenn.)
