• Ways To Make Money on the Web

Having been in the web design . web hosting business for years, I have always been
looking for ways to produce income.

I used to make >$1500 per month displaying Google ads, until the ad blockers took over
and started to hide them. But I stuck with Google and make a little money every month
    now.

After reading in one of the conferences today about affiliate advertising, I rejoined
Amazon affiliates today. I have 26 online web directory sites and hope to use the to
start producing some revenue. They said it would take about 4-6 hours to start
displaying; still waiting for them to appear :(

When it starts to produce some revenue, I will be paid in Amazon gift cards. Amazon is
our go to shopping site, so it will come in handy.

My Directory sites also allow some income if someone wants a paid Premium listing.

What ways do you use to make a little money? I'm always interested in other peoples
    thoughts on this.

Directory list can be found at:

I've never made money for some reason. One reason I could never make it as a sales person. :(

I do so much, but never force to be paid. I was part of a whole issue back in the day when Wizards of the Coast and HASBRO bought out TSR, Inc. (role playing). The lawyers asked me to show them the web page I was running as a fan site. They blessed me and made it the only official site. I had to update my footer and all that. I did get donations when I was hosting all the scanned .PDF versions of rules and modules. I was told that if either WotC or HASBRO ever decided to resell the modules for Star Frontiers, that I would be given affiliate links and take down my .pdfs in lieu of those links. Never happened :(

I am a recent member of AMAZON VINE, but had not ever looked into the Affiliate thing; thanks for that. I see others' reviews that show PAID COMMISSION or the like and I am like, "seriously!? you get paid to show THAT mess up of a review!?" .. eg. one was a lady with long fake nails talking in a fake Southern Louisiana accent reviewing a $1500 Epson ST-C8000 all-in-one which I was looking into buying. "So, I THINK this is a printer ... and this is the power switch ... and I think, yeah, you lift this to scan .. " I was blown away that they got paid (in whatever way) to post something like that!

Most everything I do (hobbies, BBS, etc.) I do for me and my own enjoyment. In today's world, though, I wouldn't mind some Amazon Gift Cards! :)
