    Pegasus Galaxies (all night)

Pegasus is loaded with galaxies because the constellation is well away from
the obscuring gas and dust of our Milky Way, allowing us to peer deeper into the Universe. NGC 7479, also designated Caldwell 44, an S-shaped spiral galaxy that resembles Superman's sigil, giving it the nicknames the Superman Galaxy and Propeller Galaxy. The Deer Lick Group is composed of the large, magnitude 9.48 spiral galaxy named NGC 7331, plus a number of minor satellite galaxies, the "Fleas". Although discovered in 1784 by William Herschel, the unusual name was apparently coined by astronomer Tomm Lorenzin, co-author of "1000+ The Amateur Astronomers' Field Guide to Deep Sky Observing", who observed it from Deer Lick Gap in the mountains of North Carolina. Just half a degree below (south) of the Deer Lick you'll find the tight little Stephan's Quintet - a gravitationally bound set of five galaxies.
