From Mike Dippel@954:895/1 to All on Wed Dec 22 22:26:08 2021
I run 26 online Directory websites that require a lot of my attention to ensure the listings
are always up-to-date. Normally, I will have the TV on, but it's hard to watch while doing
    my web work.

I recently rediscovered my iPod with my favorites collections of Doo-Wop and classic rock
songs. It's comforting and entertaining to be able to listen to a customized playlist of
songs. It makes the work go by effortlessly.

In fact, I was working on several directories in my computer room when I realized I had to
    post this message. Happy happy.

Have you ever heard "The Alley Cats"?? They're an a cappella quartet that specializes in the music types you specify. I saw them when I was out in California in 2001 for the 50th National Square Dance Convention.

    Their website is at https://www.thealleycats.com

Overall, I've gotten to really enjoy a cappella music...although when I was in choir, the director sometimes referred to such as "aka shakey" or "Acapulco"...although the latter may have been for Mexican Music. <G>

I really like the Barbershop Quartets...there's a group out of Tennessee called "Lunch Break". They did one deal at Carnegie Hall just after Christmas
several years, telling of "Old MacDonald's Deformed Farm"...it is a scream!!

    I'll check it out. Thanks.

    5) A lactose intolerant cow
    6) A hyperactive sloth
    7) A narcoleptic pig
    8) A terrified squirrel

Well, it's in the bedroom, but I'm the one getting screwed by twits. <G>

When I wrote a letter to Santa this year, I started it with "Define Naughty". <G> Then, when I said "I had been good", I was notified by the North Pole Medical Center, that his Christmas Eve run was in jeopardy,
as my letter had sent him into atrial flutter. <G>

It may be Christmas here, but temperatures will be more like May, with highs in the 70s, and parts of the region may hit 80 degrees!!

    Daryl

I hope you're not dreaming of a White Christmas :) It sounds like it may be hotter there
than in Florida. Right now it's 61 degrees in the Tampa area, going down to 52
overnight with a high of 79 tomorrow.

Enjoy it while you can. And, every day from now on is going to give us more daylight.
Maybe you will get into the 90's soon.

Sounds like what it is in Arkansas. We've got Wind Advisories out into Saturday. Some areas might even lose power with the gusty winds. I had to
check the calendar, as it seems more like May instead of December.

Well, it is summer now in the southern hemisphere. :P
