• Picklball Explained

From Jan Dippel@954:895/1 to Ruben Figueroa on Sat Jun 5 23:03:30 2021
Hi Ruben, Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. It is a combination of ping pong, badminton and tennis, played on a court about
the size of a badminton court. It is played with a paddle, and a ball
that is similar, but a little larger, than a whiffle ball over a net
that is 3 in shorter than a tennis net. The rules are simple...the
serving team must serve underhand, cross court to the receiving team.
The ball must bounce before the reciving team can hit it, and when it is returned, the ball must bounce before the serving team can hit it. After
that, it can be volleyed in the air, as long as the the player does not
step into the non-volley zone, also known as "the kitchen",which is
marked on the court by a line 7 ft. from the net. Only the serving team
can score. The game ends when one team scores 11 points, and must win by
    2. You can check it out on You Tube. There are many videos about
pickleball, including some of the US Open, that we attended. There's
some exciting play included. But watch out! Pickleball can be very
    addicting! :)

Yes, thanks for the explanation. I did check out on you tube. Strange I have not heard of this game before. I think I would have enjoyed it in younger days. Don't move to well these days.

Take care and again thank you.
