    Problem now is that all drones are now treated like the old Helos and Airplanes back in the day. Although you have to register your drone (if over 250g) and now take a Safety Test, your drone ALSO has to start having a transmitter on it as well starting in SEP 2023. If your drone is not capable, then you need to spend $300+ to attach a USB transmitter.

    Time to sell my Phantom 4 Pro and get a Mini 3 Pro (since it is less than 250g) ..

    so I got my new DJI Mini 3 Pro in today.
    I thought for sure I was going to break it - it is so tiny compared to the Phantom 4 ..

    Going to order the STROBE kit for it since the FAA laws changed and we are now "allowed" to fly at night without explicit authorization application.
    I kept my registration - I see it went to 3 yrs instead of 5 for the same $5.

    I also opted for the RC (the one with the new screen built-in so I can keep my cell handy and able to be used if ever needed.

    Anyone?

    Just bought one. Lots of fun so far. Still learning though. :-)

    Just got mine .. I got the RC and added the wide lens and the 3 pack of ND filters. Ordered one extra-life battery (to go with the default one that came with the drone).

    Strange, though .. they don't give you a charger? Just a C to C cable. Good thing my truck has a C port to charge I guess. I wasn't expecting that (coming from the Phantom 4). I did order the 65W port for faster charging.
