I installed Synchronet on one of my computers to try it out. I was hoping
to learn enough about it to be able to help others. But I am having trouble setting it up to connect to the HobbyNet network.
Hi Mike.
Happy to help, but did you mean to post this in the Bob Ross echo?
I can't figure out the command line to make it work using QWK, and was wondering if I could just connect via Qnet with you and use your system as
a hub.
Synchronet can exchange echos either via QWK or BINKP. They both do pretty much the same stuff but in a different way.
Are you trying to make your Synchronet BBS a Point off of your Wildcat BBS? If
so it might be easier to configure BinkP to set it up. I'm not sure how friendly Synch will be in exchanging QWK with WC.
Perhaps you can tell me how to set it up using binkP as well so I can just
get it straight from my hub at hobbylinebbs.com
I can, but since this message is a few days old... do you still need the assistance? Let me know. I promise to check the messages faster then I have
been to provide a quicker response.
