    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have chosen to be part of the network; without your support, we wouldn't have been able to get it off the ground.

As I look back over the last six years, I find myself wondering where the time has gone - it seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye. Covid certainly played a role in shaping half of that time, but six years passing so quickly... it's quite unnerving.

How has life changed for you over the past six years?
Have you experienced any significant changes, for better or worse?
In your view, has the BBS scene improved or declined during this time?
And looking ahead, what do you think the next six years hold for the BBS scene, for you personally, and for the future?

Thank you all for being part of this growing community.

    Hi ML!

    Hurrah for tqwNet!

I just wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have
chosen to be part of the network; without your support, we wouldn't have been able to get it off the ground.

Let me thank you for helping me get back into BBS'ing! I really appreciate your time and effort connecting me to tqwNet. It was over 25 years since I ran my old board and memory didn't always serve me right, lol. It's been great getting back into it and see that the BBS scene is still alive :)

How has life changed for you over the past six years?

Yep, time flies... Kids grabbing my car keys for refueling (with trips to the carwash, touring, truck spotting and whatnot) was a new one for me over the past few years and during covid. Biking to work (finally) and moving to the city has improved life for us.
Can't say much about the BBS scene as I just re-entered about 1.5 years ago.
I do want to compliment you on _your_ efforts to keep the scene alive, like helping sysops (old and new) get connected and organizing TGT's on MRC =)

    Thanks!!

No joke, eh??? Man - I remember when you launched it... and I think I got on board within the first year if I'm not wrong. Can't believe its been up for 6 years, dude!! w0w.

I've moved, 2oFB has grown into a huge [archive] project and a community has sprouted around it - and so much more... we're about to enter another holiday season and man; time keeps on turning.

I turned 45 last month; can't believe I'm halfway dead - and st0ked that tqwNet is growing up!!!

    Hey

Wow, 6 years has flown by quickly. Think I've only been back in the scene for 6 or so years - much longer than the first time around.

Good to be part of a couple of networks that actually have some activity (although I should be more involved, and I'm too distracted by things I find, that takes me down a rabbit hole...)

In your view, has the BBS scene improved or declined during this time?

I think the BBS scene increased earlier into those 6 years, but is on a bit of a decline again now, or atleast it seems that way... :(

Yeah dude it really has flown by - I think the last 6 years has been the quickest on record! =)

Yeah it does seem that way, hopefully we'll have another resurgence - get some more people interested in distractionless and troll-less (mostly) social media =)

We always go thru this... just keep telling more and more people about our community - post, advert and keep trying - they will come.

Congrats on running tqwNet for all this time, and thanks for running it. Here's to another 6 (and beyond?)!

How has life changed for you over the past six years? Have you experienced any significant changes, for better or worse? In your view, has the BBS scene improved or declined during this time? I think in many ways it's improved, because the technology has certainly gotten better, and there's always more curious, positive people finding their way into the hobby. I know more than a couple young people (22 and younger) that have stumbled across BBSes, taken the time to learn more about this stuff, and set up their own boards. That's pretty awesome.
