    Hello,

A good friend of mine has given me his old 12" Powerbook G4 and I am not sure what to do with it. It's a beautiful machine, so it would be a shame to let it sit on a shelf collecting dust.

The OS is OS X 10.4. Apparently, MacOS 9.2 can be installed with a few caveats.

I've never used classic MacOS, so this could be a good opportunity to try it out.

    Any ideas?

The Mac OS 9 Lives forum has an install CD image that they offer for Macs that don't officially support booting into OS 9; I've used it on my eMac without incident. :D

How easy is it to install MorphOS on a PPC Mac? I've never used it.

A good question, I've never owned a PPC before, but I've installed it in an emulator ok. I would love to get my hands on actual hardware tho and use it as originally intended. I remember when Windows XP had WindowBlinds and it had a MorphOS theme to make Windows look like MorphOS with all the fancy window decorations, it looks amazing and I drooled over it haha.

This is interesting!!! I had not heard of MorphOS before. We are all MAC
at work, other than chromebooks for the students the last few years.
Pretty sure all I ahve in old equipment is Intel based now, but I'm
going to look and see what I can find. :-)
